Thiemann announces retirement as Portico’s CEO effective Sept. 30

CHICAGO – The Rev. Jeff Thiemann, President and Chief Executive Officer of Portico Benefit Services, a separately incorporated ministry of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA), announced Sept. 12 that he will retire when his current term ends Sept. 30.

The Board of Trustees has asked Stacy Kruse, Portico's Chief Operating and Financial Officer, to step into the interim role as President and CEO while they conduct an executive search. Stacy has a long tenure with Portico, and the Board has the highest confidence that her leadership will ensure a seamless transition for the organization.
