On April 25, concerned people around the world will join in prayer, advocacy, and giving to support action against malaria. The ELCA and our Lutheran companions in Africa will be joining in this global day of action and generosity! During World Malaria Week 2014, we are raising money to jumpstart the new Lutheran malaria program in Namibia. Our goal is $250,000—and with your support, we know we can reach it.
There are many ways for you to be involved:
- Join us in prayer for people who suffer from malaria, for those who mourn lives lost, and for those who work together to make malaria history.
- Give online during World Malaria Week (April 25-May 2), and your gift will be matched (up to $100,000)! Click here to give.
- Take a special offering in your congregation on Sunday, April 27. A full toolkit of resources is available here. Gifts form congregations are eligible for the $100,000 matching challenge as well! Please make checks out to ELCA Malaria Campaign, write "World Malaria Day" in the memo line, and postmark by May 2. Mail checks to: ELCA Malaria Campaign, PO Box 71764, Chicago, IL 60694-1764
- TELL US YOUR STORY! We would love to hear what your congregation did to commemorate World Malaria Sunday. Send stories and photos to: email@example.com. We look forward to hearing from you.
Malaria programs work. Global action against malaria saves 700 lives a day! When we join hands with our companions in 13 countries in Africa, we change lives. Thank you for your generosity.
