As Lutherans, we don’t just practice our faith, we live it. Each new day presents a new opportunity to deepen our relationship with God.

Through our worship services, education at every level and ministries of all kinds, we live our lives with meaning and purpose.

Lutheran Partners - Accessing scripture

Accessing Scripture

“Real people read, hear, and speak Scripture.” That’s the theme for the September-October issue of Lutheran Partners, a bimonthly magazine of the ELCA featuring real people doing real ministry in the real world. Read about initial responses to the Book of Faith Initiative, the Bible from an immigrant’s perspective, and the value of learning and reciting Scripture by heart.

Fund for Leaders: Leadership one click away

Leadership is one click away

Leaders can inspire a community to change, to grow, to believe, to hope again. But some leaders are unable to answer God’s call to a life of ministry because of the significant obstacle of seminary debt. You can help. Your gift to the ELCA Fund for Leaders supports and encourages future pastors and lay leaders of this church. Click here and your gift will be matched dollar-for-dollar through Oct. 15, 2008.

Outdoor Ministry Builds

Outdoor Ministry Builds "Green" Cabin

When Camp Agapé near Raleigh, North Carolina, needed a new cabin, it practiced what it preached, using cutting-edge building techniques to create an energy-efficient facility. Two congregations of the ELCA North Carolina Synod – Lutheran Church of the Epiphany, Winston-Salem, and Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, Raleigh – raised more than $95,000 to help build the Gerhard Duplex Cabin.
